James G. Stoiber

February 4, 1932 — December 21, 2016

James G. Stoiber of Milwaukee, formerly of Dallas, Texas was born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. John’s on the Lake at the age of 84. He was born in Marshfield, WI on February 4, 1932 the son of Frank and Barbara (nee Schultz) Stoiber. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1951-55. James spent his career as a pharmacist. In 1977, he was named Wisconsin Pharmacist of the Year. He retired as Director of Pharmacy Services at Mount Sinai Hospital, Milwaukee in 1991. Following his retirement, he moved to Dallas, Texas where he resided for 20 years before returning to Milwaukee in 2012 to be closer to family.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters Helen Dierkes of Cape Coral, FL and Rita (John) Kelly of Brookfield and his sister-in-law Judith Stoiber of Brookfield. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers William and Frank Stoiber.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 8:45 a.m. until the time of the 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Old St. Mary Parish, 844 N. Broadway Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53202. Entombment with full military honors will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon, immediately following the burial mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Old St. Mary Parish, Milwaukee, or the Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland Rd. Dallas, TX 75218.
