Jane R. Mundschau (nee Banks) of Waukesha passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the age of 92. She was born in Greenwood, WI on June 7, 1925 the daughter of Harold and Selma (nee Johnson) Banks. In 1947 she married Lee Paul Mundschau in Dousman; he preceded her in death on February 2, 1990. Jane was a pilot with the Wisconsin Civil Air Patrol and was a member of the EAA. She loved traveling the world and enjoyed boating and camping. Jane was active in the Waukesha Lioness Club and a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church. As a talented artist, Jane created many beautiful oil paintings. Jane had a special charisma about her, creating a huge network of great friends and was loved by many. She was devoted to her family and would never miss a family event. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend.
She will be sadly missed by her 8 children, Cynthia (Nick) Stanich of Waukesha, Paul (Sue) Mundschau of Waukesha, Steve (Sun) Mundschau of San Francisco, CA, John (Donna) Mundschau of Manistee, MI, Janie (Bob) Randle of Sun City West, AZ, David (Joan Ahrens) Mundschau of Waukesha, Peggy (Daniel) Guenther of Waukesha and Molly Krueger of Appleton. She was the proud grandmother of Kurt (fiancée Druanne Pierce) Stanich, Erika (Daniel) Dominguez, Shaun (JoAnna) Mundschau, Ryan (fiancée Ana) Mundschau, Kristin (Tyler) Ames, Lily Mundschau, Jack Brouch, Sam Brouch, Kira Mundschau, Leila Mundschau, Stacy (Chantell) Mundschau, Jennifer (Mike) Binon, Janelle (Matt Crayne) Frank, Jacquelyn (Kevin) Kmiecik, Sarah (Keith) Warner, Wendy (Dave) Enters, Anthony (Christina) Mundschau, Peter (Emily) Mundschau, Stephanie (Albert) Chaney, Joseph Guenther, Daniel Jacob Guenther, Nicole Krueger, Jenna Krueger and Zachary Krueger and great-grandmother of 23. She is further survived by her brother Raymond (the late Carol) Banks, sister-in-law Vivian Banks along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Lee, she was preceded in death by her brother Roger Banks and sister Lois Banks Moore.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
