Jane A. Wendlandt, of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 surrounded by her family at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 56 years. She was born in Black River Falls on September 20, 1958 the daughter of Herman and Irene (nee Halverson) Dow. On August 13, 1983 she married Charles J. Wendlandt; he preceded her in death on September 15, 2006. Jane worked at WCTC for many years where she loved her customers. She enjoyed reading, watching NASCAR, was an avid football fan, but most of all she loved being with her family. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister and dear friend.
She will be deeply missed by her son James Wendlandt and her daughter Amanda Wendlandt both of Waukesha, her sisters Jan (the late Richard) Krueger of Naperville, IL and Shauna (James) Grenz of Johnson Creek and her brother Travis Dow of Johnson Creek. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Theresa (Don) Heinen of Dousman, Debbie Christenson of Wales and Timothy (Doreen) Wendlandt of Fort Atkinson along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband Charles, she was preceded in death by her brother Bradley Dow.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Waukesha Memorial Hospital’s Oncology Unit and the nurses and staff of AngelsGrace Hospice for their kindness and care provided to Jane and their family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 9:00AM until the time of the 12:00 noon memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home & Crematory, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. The Reverend James Gorman will preside. In lieu of flowers, memoria ls are appreciated to the family.
