Janet “Jan” B. Tallinger a longtime Waukesha resident passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the age of 84. She was born in Crivitz, WI on June 25, 1934 the daughter of Otto and Aurora Witmeyer. She was a graduate of St. Pius XI High School. Jan was a dedicated and hardworking woman who worked 7 days a week for many years. She worked as a real estate agent for Colonial Realty and Coldwell Banker, opened a Boy Blue with her husband Robert “Bob” Tallinger Sr. in 1973 before owning and operating Tallinger’s in Waukesha in 1978. Jan loved to spend time and vacation with her family, enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, and found great joy in celebrating Christmas.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Robert (Michelle) Tallinger, Jr. of Waukesha, Ronald (Dawn) Tallinger of Waukesha, and Aurora Tallinger of Waukesha. She was the proud grandmother of Jessica (Kevin Kuss) Tallinger, Robert John (Claire) Tallinger III, Timothy Tallinger, Victoria Tallinger, Jamie (Tom) Gaeth, and Ronald J. (Kirsten) Tallinger, Jr. and the loving great-grandmother of Jordynn and Aria Gaeth and Landon James Tallinger. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Tallinger Sr. on September 28, 2017, her sister Kathryn Glenn, brother Robert Witmeyer and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 12:00 noon until the time of the 2:00 p.m. memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Private interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
