Janet E. Mueller

Janet E. Mueller, of Waukesha, died on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Care-Age of Brookfield at the age of 91. She was born in the Town of Merton on December 18, 1923 the daughter of the late Grover and Verna (nee Sedgwick) Dobbertin. In April of 1943 she married Robert “Bert” Mueller; he preceded her in death on April 6, 1998. She was a 1941 graduate of Waukesha High School. She then went to work as a secretary at the original Resthaven VA Hospital in Waukesha. Upon the sale of the hospital, she was transferred to the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. Prior to her retirement in 1979, she served as the secretary to the Chief of Staff.

Janet was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church. She and her late husband enjoyed golf and cards, and she was an avid reader and bridge player. From 1980 until 1994 Janet and Bert wintered in Florida.

She is survived by her sister Minnebel (Norman) Dunn of Waukesha, her nephews, Robert (Marsha) Dobbertin of Scottsdale, AZ, Dennis Dobbertin of Lake Camelot, and Russell (Terrie) Dobbertin of Waukesha and niece Karen Dobbertin of New Berlin. She is further survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews, Marisa Dobbertin and Donny Dobbertin of Scottsdale, AZ, Derek Dobbertin of Dousman, Dayna Dobbertin of West Allis, Lacy (Stacy) Orr of Kenosha, Tiffany (Jason) Phipps of Waukesha and Ryan Dobbertin of Waukesha and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews Taylor Dobbertin of Scottsdale, AZ and Kaytlin, Karlie and Jackson Phipps of Waukesha along with other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Bert, she was preceded in death by her brother Merrill (Janet) Dobbertin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 10:00AM until the time of the 11:00AM funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Reverend Gerry Krupp will preside. A private burial for the family only will follow the service at Lisbon-Merton Union Cemetery.
