Janice R. Krause, of Waukesha, died on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek at the age of 79. She was born in Black River Falls, WI on September 25, 1939, the daughter of Edward and Gladys (nee Watson) Matysik. Janice grew up in Fairchild, WI where she attended grade school and high school. She married her high school sweetheart, Frederick J. Berry, and moved to Waukesha where Janice worked at Woolworths Dime Store and Wegner’s Food Store. She then opened and ran her restaurant the Snak Shak. Following that she attended barber school and on completion ran Neil’s Barber Shop on Grand Avenue with her second husband Milburn Krause. She then moved Neil’s Barber Shop to Clinton Street, where she remained for the next 50 years.
Jan will be sadly missed by her son Rick Berry, brother James Matysik, sister-in-law Marilyn, sister Pat Wolf, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Edward Matysik in September 2002, her mother Gladys Matysik in February 2009, her second husband Milburn Krause in December 2001 and her first husband Frederick J. Berry in September 2017.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue in Waukesha.
