WAUKESHA—Jean C. Meier, of Waukesha, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Waukesha Springs at the age of 88. She was born on December 8, 1919 in Ashley, Ohio to Harold and Hazel (nee: Olds) Clase. She had worked for the Style Shop in Waukesha and then was the administrative assistant for SEWRPC and Waukesha Park and Planning, retiring in 1969 from SEWRPC. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Jean was a past member of the Waukesha Historical Society and League of Women Voters. She will be missed by her children; Jone E. Brady of Waukesha, Jill (Armand) Matarrese of Brookfield, step-children; Margaret Ellen (David) Hartmann of Portland, OR, Dave (Mary) Meier of Lake Lucerne, Dr. Pierce (Carol) Meier of Watertown, Maureen (Gene) Muhich of Englewood, CO, James R. (Jane) Meier of Portage and Kathy Meier of Sarasota, FL. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Jenny, Laurie, Betsy, Jim, John, Matt, Jay, Barry, Mark, Dr. Ann, Mary, Paul, Phil, Mat, Mic, Angie, Alie and Rob, 18 great-grandchildren, brother Bill (Shirley) Clase of Ashley, OH, sister-in-law Lucille (Larry) Pettey of Waukesha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Michael N. Brady, second husband James E. Meier, granddaughter Carol Ann Muhich and sister Betty Felice. Visitation will be held Friday July 11, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday July 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church 225 S Hartwell Ave. Waukesha, Wisconsin 53186. The Very Reverend James T. Volkert will preside.
