Jeanne Arlene Simon (nee Greenlee), of Waukesha, age 92, entered eternal life on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Avalon Square with her daughters at her side. Jeanne was born in Madison, WI on July 25, 1926 to Eugene and Gladys (nee McManners) Greenlee. Jeanne grew up in Black River Falls, WI and graduated from high school in 1944 and from The Stout Institute with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1948. It was while she was at Stout that she met Bob and they married on June 29, 1948. Jeanne, Bob, and their son moved to Medford, MN in the summer of 1950 where both Jeanne and Bob taught high school for three years. In 1953 they moved to Waukesha. Jeanne taught Home Economics at Horning Middle School and North High School for twenty years and retired in 1984. Jeanne and Bob enjoyed their retirement at their summer cottage on Fish Lake in Hancock, WI as well as winters in Anna Maria, FL. Jeanne was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, Waukesha and PEO Sisterhood (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She loved her family and her faith and will be deeply missed by all.
Jeanne is survived by her two daughters Susan (Gary) Page of Waukesha and Cynthia (Lowell) Argue of Hartland; and three grandsons Robert (Debra) Simon of New Berlin; Matthew (Stephanie) Lindstrom of Waukesha; Benjamin (Nicolette) Lindstrom of Waukesha; and four great grandchildren Payton, Isabella, Brooklyn, and Olivia. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years Robert G.; her son Robert E. (Bonnie); son-in-law Thomas Barbeau; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Delores and Edward Orsted.
