Jeffrey "Jeff" L. May

Jeffrey L. May, of Waukesha, died Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 72. He was born in Milwaukee on August 27, 1951, the son of JC and Myrtle (nee Cooper) May. He was a 1975 graduate of Morgan State University in Maryland. He had worked for the Waukesha Co. Sheriff’s Department for 25 years. Jeff was a member of the True Square Lodge #1 Prince Hall Affiliated in Milwaukee. He was a professional boxer and wrestler, a 6^th degree blackbelt, had been a body guard for many celebrities and security guard for the Milwaukee Brewers. 

He will be sadly missed by his children Philana (Andre) Singleton, Jeffrey L. (Nikki) Lacefield-May, Elliott Lacefield and Rashad (Haley) May; his life partner Kathy Hernandez-Kennedy and her children Ron (Katie) Kennedy, Michael (Kelly Miller) Kennedy and Tricia (David) Perez. Loving grandfather of Brittany, Jeffrey, Keon, Madisyn, Dominique, Eliana, Aylin, Jasmine, Marcus, Alenah, Brandon, Ayanna, Shia, Salvador, David Jr., Isaiah, Selena, Benjamin and Angel and great-grandfather to Carter and Rylie. He is further survived by his brother James Stovall, his lifelong friend and Masonic brother Matthew Finnie, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Madelyne DePriest.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25^th from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. memorial service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.  Memorials to the family are appreciated.
