Jill A. Lawien of Waukesha passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 66. She was born in Waukesha on July 4, 1952 the daughter of Donald and Theresa (nee Trovato) Cooley. Jill enjoyed knitting and crocheting and volunteering at HAWS and the Hope Center. She was a woman of great strength, had a huge heart and was very selfless. She will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Jason (Amy) Lawien of Waukesha and Michael (Tamara) Lawien of Whitewater, her granddaughter Elizabeth, brother Dan Cooley of Pewaukee and niece Debra Cooley of Hartland. She is further survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 3:30 p.m. until time of the 5:00 p.m. funeral service at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll Street, Waukesha, WI 53186. Graveside services will be on Friday, April 26th at 10AM at Prairie Home Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery.
