Joan Deluhery

Joan Deluhery, of Waukesha, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa at the age of 89 years. She was born on October 4, 1924, in WI, the daughter of Jeremiah and Bertha (nee Yatzek) Belger. Joan was a prize-winning quilter and an active member of the Prairieville Quilters. She was an excellent baker and seamstress. She loved life and a good laugh. Joan was a great friend to many and a trusted confidant to all. Spending time with her family was her passion.

She will be sadly missed by her children Mary Kathryn “Kitty” (William) Beilfuss of West Bend, Susan (Stephen) Rieber of Glenview, IL, Maureen “Molly” (Ted) Hron of Merrimac, WI, Patricia (Russell) Hintz of New Berlin, William Deluhery of Milwaukee and James (Nancy Moore) Deluhery of Middleton. She was the grandmother of Mary Elizabeth “Becky” (Chad) Warnecke, Andy (Diana) Beilfuss, Michael (Yvette) Beilfuss, Steve Beilfuss, Kristin Beilfuss, Nicole (Collin) Lang, Sarah (Kevin) Aloisi, Nicholas Rieber, Richard (Alexis) Rieber, Jennifer (Greg) Niehus, Brian (Amanda) Hron, Jacqueline (Dan) Voss, Angela Hintz, Matthew (Monica) Deluhery, Daniel Deluhery, Kevin Deluhery, Bethany Deluhery and “GG” to 19 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Deluhery, sister Mary Jane Partridge and brother Jeremiah Belger.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 9:30AM until the time of the funeral mass at 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI.
