Joanne M. Menick

Joanne Margaret Menick found Eternal Peace on August 10, 2024, at age 94. Joanne was the loving wife for 50 years to the late Earl Menick.

A loving mother to the late Daniel (Martha) Menick, Patricia (Scott) Johnson, Barbara (James) Held and the late John Menick. Cherished and devoted grandmother to Katie, Nathan, Abby, Laura, Andy and Kevin. Great-grandmother to Quinn, Nile, Aiden and Leona. 

Joanne was a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where singing in the choir brought her so much joy.

Joanne graduated from Mount Mary College with a teaching degree. While her own children attended school, she was the YWCA’s Preschool teacher. One of the first preschools in Waukesha. Then teaching Level A at Brookfield Academy until she retired. Joanne enjoyed being part of numerous Bridge clubs, reading, gardening, cooking, singing, and entertaining her family with wonderful meals during the holidays. Joanne was very proud of her entire family. 

Visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186, on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joanne’s memory to St. Mary Church are suggested. Joanne’s family would like to thank the caring staff at the Arbor at Avalon Square. A special thanks for all the extraordinary care given by Brighton Hospice.
