Joanne E. Rice

Joanne Emily Rice, 72, of Waukesha, died on Friday, December 4, 2015 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. She was born in Waukesha on August 18, 1943 the daughter of Lester and Laura (nee Heinzelmann) Schafer. For 31 years she was employed at Manke Insurance Company. She was an active member of St. William Catholic Church where she was a member of the Prayer Shall Ministry, Focus Group, Catholic Womens Study Club, and was the leader of Loaves and Fishes. She loved to read, knit, crochet, and spend time with her grandchildren and family.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Ron of Waukesha, their children Eric (Tonia) Rice of Waukesha, and Karen (Michael) Flesses of Waukesha. She is also survived by her grandchildren Carissa Rice, Luke Rice, William Dewey, Laura Dewey, and David Dewey.

Visitation will be held at St. William Catholic Church 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188 on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Graveside services will be at St. Theresa Cemetery in Eagle, WI at 3:00 pm.
