Jodi Laufenberg Schwartz passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Thursday, November 7, at the age of 59. She was born in Milwaukee on November 13, 1964, to parents Richard and Judith (nee Kalmadge) Laufenberg.
She will be sadly missed by her children Amanda (Travis) Schuett, Jordan (Haley) LaGalbo, and Chelsea (Joey) LaGalbo; siblings Rick (Moni) Laufenberg, John (Laura) Laufenberg, Kim (Patrick) Deagan, and Heather (Zac) Davis; 9 grandchildren; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson Aiden Lee.
After finishing High School, Jodi worked as a CNA for 35 years, most recently for ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. She was a very kind-hearted and compassionate person who spent her life caring for family, friends and countless others. She generally shied away from being the center of attention but wasn’t afraid to speak up and protect those she loved. Jodi enjoyed being outside in the warm sun, especially sitting on the patio or up north on a lake. She also cherished spending time with family and friends and was an active member at River Glen Christian Church.
