John Charles Bousman

John Charles Bousman of Waukesha, died on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. He was born in Norway, Michigan on March 31, 1943 the son of John Harrison and Christine Mary (nee Rostagno) Bousman. John married Mary Kochevar in Waukesha on September 22, 1978. He served his country in the United States Army from 1962-1969 until he started working for the Bousman family business. John then worked many years as a bus driver for Waukesha County and then at Foxies Salon where he did cosmetology and massage therapy. John was passionate about guns and loved working for McMiller Sports Center in Eagle, Wisconsin. In John’s free time he enjoyed working on gadgets and figuring them out as well as spending time in a good science fiction or western books. John owned and piloted an airplane and found joy in riding his Honda Goldwing. Ultimately, he loved spending time with his wife and family. John will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful husband, Mary’s “loving buddy”, who never left without a kiss goodbye.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years Mary Bousman, daughters, Barbara (Mark Ritchie) Beecher of Leona, WI, Amy (George) Merkel of Eagle River, WI, Renee (Steve) Pundsack of Fort Atkinson, WI and Tracy (David) Klessig of Eagle River, WI. He was the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Jim (Kathy) Bousman, sister-in-law Carol Yule, many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his two sons Nolan and Gary Kochevar and grandchild Emmett Klessig.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 10:30 until time of the 11:30AM memorial service at Crosswalk Church, 1200 S. East Ave., Waukesha. A Luncheon will follow.
