John Demo III, of Waukesha, died on September 22, 2010 at Waukesha Springs at the age of 93. He was born on January 13, 1917 in East Gary, Indiana to John and Mary (nee Bodnar) Demo. On June 28, 1941 he married the former Laura Kalutz. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post# 7881 in Highland, Indiana and a member of the Cal-Ridge Moose Lodge in Indiana, where he was a very active bingo caller. He was a supervisor at Inland Steel, retiring in 1980. He will be sadly missed by his children John (Sandra) Demo IV of Waukesha and Lori Demo of Muncie, Indiana. Dear grandfather of John Daniel “Dan” (Kristin) Demo of Waukesha and Stacie Demo of Las Vegas and great grandfather of Benjamin and Thomas Demo. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura in 1998 and his sisters Mary Rusak, Helen Czarnecki and Irene Szostek. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 24 from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm funeral service at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. Schererville, IN. Services will be provided by Cal-Ridge Moose Lodge and VFW Post# 7881. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
