John C. Johnson

John C. Johnson, of Waukesha, died Monday, February 13, 2023 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age 88. He was born in Everett, WA, on May 9, 1934, the son of John Henry and Anna (nee Bevensee) Johnson. On October 24, 1964, he married Marian Steinbauer in Santa Barbara, CA. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He received his bachelor’s degree from UCLA, which began his career in various roles in the computer industry. He was also a teacher at MATC Madison, retiring in 2016. During his retirement he took up the art of quilting.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Marian Johnson, along with their children John (Kay) Johnson of Bristol, Dave (Christine O’Neill) Johnson of Underhill, Vermont, Liz (Greg) Hopper of Waukesha and Greg (Julee) Johnson of Martinez, CA. Dear grandfather of Katy Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Erica Johnson, Mary Hopper, Celia Hopper, C.J. Hopper and Brion Johnson. He is further survived by his brother Donald (Sylvia) Johnson of Red Bluff, CA; nieces Gayle, Lori and Cathy, other relatives and friends.

According to his wishes, no services will be held. Memorials in his name are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association, 620 S. 76th St., Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
