John A. Kukuwich Jr

September 8, 1933 — October 23, 2015

John Kukuwich Jr.
Jesus called, John went. Born into eternal life October 23, 2015 at the age of 82 with his loving wife of 56 years and daughters at his side. Proceeded in death by his parents John and Hattie (nee Dostal) Kukuwich. He is survived by his wife Marge (nee Smith), daughters Karyn(Mike) Conklin, Connie(Tim Moriarty) Kukuwich, and Kathy (Tom) Tabbert. Dear Grandpa to Michelle (Aaron), Michael, Glenn, Kyle, Kristyn, Ross, Alex and Ryan. Beloved Great Grandpa to Taylor. Cherished big brother of Robert (Elaine) Kukuwich. Also survived by his wonderful Aunt Molly Heidlbach and Uncle Albert Dostal.
When John was young, and through most of his life, he was a farmer in Franklin, WI. He worked in the fields first along side his brother, Robert, and his parents, John and Hattie. He continued this legacy with his wife, Marge, and daughters. Going to the Green Market on Center Street and in West Allis. In the late 1970’s Marge started Leaf and Petal Greenhouses where John ‘cooked’ dirt and made sure buildings and supplies were in good condition. John had the uncanny ability to make whatever was needed with things lying around the farm.
John was a business owner of General Aluminum and Prime Supply; both were home improvement companies. He was a true salesman, personable and honest. His work ethic was strong and is something he instilled in family.
John had an active social life. John and Marge greatly enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Westfield. There they played cards with cousins Bob, Edna, Joan, Wally, Maida, Margo, Pete, Sandra and Ann. John had monthly dinners with the ‘Greendale’ gang. Field trips and wings were other activities John really enjoyed with Don Kanter and the ‘Franklin guys’.
After retirement John was blessed to live in a beautiful neighborhood. John and Marge enjoyed the neighbors, especially Al and Jill White.
John loved his wife, daughters and their families. He will deeply be missed by all of them.
The family wishes to extend its deep gratitude to Karla, Martha, Sharon and the rest of the staff at ProHealthcare Hospice for helping to ease his transition.
