John E. Lang of Waukesha passed away with his family by his side on Monday, July 2, 2018 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 84. He was born in Milwaukee on September 2, 1933 the son of Raymond and Dorothy (nee Schwartzburg) Lang. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Corp of Engineers. On October 18, 1958 he married Sharon Croisatiere in West Allis. John loved baseball and was both a semi-professional and professional player with the Milwaukee Braves in 1957. He had a lifelong career as a lithographer and was a master printer completing many projects for Miller Brewing and Lang Companies. John retired from Quality Color in 1997. He loved opera and classical music, woodworking, working on his VW’s and following the stock market.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 60 years, Sharon of Waukesha and their children, David (Cecilia) Lang of Rapid City, SD, Jennifer (Robert) Biwer of Lancaster, PA and Elizabeth Hansen of Brookfield, 10 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Whittow and Marjorie Stern and his brother James Lang.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until time of the 4:00 p.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Private inurnment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in John’s name are appreciated to Compassion International, Attn: Gift Planning Department, 12290 Voyager Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.
