John G. Ruppel III

John G. Ruppel III of Waukesha passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the age of 84. He was born in Wilkensburg, PA on December 9, 1938 the only child of John G. Ruppel II and Elizabeth Nauman Ruppel. He was a graduate of Oakmont High School; earned his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Pittsburg and later earned his PhD in electrical engineering. On May 25, 1963 he married Alice (Burton) Ruppel in Oakmont, PA and together they have been longtime members of Trinity Lutheran Church.  John had a great love for music and enjoyed singing with the Reflections Choir at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church where he was previously a member. He loved gardening, designing and repairing sound systems, HAM Radio and playing sports in his younger years. John savored a good bottle of wine and always enjoyed a laugh at a good joke. Most of all he loved spending time with his family watching the Packers.

He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Alice of Waukesha and their two daughters, Kathy Delikat of Albany and Debbie (Scott) Hayes of Waukesha; and granddaughter Taylor (Dale) Hayes of West Allis.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:30 p.m. funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1052 White Rock Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and of ProHealth Hospice for all they did for their family and the kindness and care given to John. Therefore, the family requests memorials be given to ProHealth Homecare and Hospice.
