John Frank Serafin of Waukesha passed away at the Applewood of New Berlin on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the age of 72. He was born in Milwaukee on September 4, 1945 the son of Theodore A. Serafin Sr. and Julianne E. (nee Wisniewski) Serafin. John attended Whitnall High School where he graduated in 1963 and then served his country in the Army during the Vietnam war. John went on to work for Pick-n-Save on Moreland Blvd until he retired in 2008. He will be remembered as a loving brother, uncle, and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Joanne (the late Dennis) Mick of Medford, and Daniel J. Serafin of Waukesha, his nieces and nephews, Carol Smith of Milwaukee, Debbie (James) Adlam of New Berlin, Denise (Patrick) Hirl of Minnetonka, MN, Leslie (Jeff) Crane of Minnetonka, MN and Alica Whitmore of Minneapolis, MN. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Patty Serafin of New Berlin and many cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Theodore Serafin Jr. and brother-in-law Dennis Mick.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until time of the 2:00 p.m. memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Memorials in John’s name are appreciated to the Alzheimer Association, 620 S. 76th Street Suite 160 Milwaukee, WI 53214.
