John H. Stephens, Jr., of the town of Brookfield, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home at the age of 86. He was born on February 24, 1926 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, the son of John H. Stephens, Sr. and Odessa Hill. He proudly served his country, for 24 years in the U.S. Navy, during World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam, retiring in 1967. Following his retirement from the military, he worked for 15 years as the maintenance supervisor for Press Steel Tanks. He enjoyed having lunch at the Senior Center in Brookfield.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Georgia (Richard) Pence of Kewaunee, WI; grandchildren JoRey (Amy) Stephens, Rebecca Pence, Daniel Pence, Beverly Pence and Shannon Pence; great-grandchildren Crew Stephens, Rook Stephens and Jordyn Hall. He is further survived by his sister Patsy Wolfe and brother Michael Stephens both of Baton Rouge, LA his sister-in-law Ophelia Stephens of Dallas, TX, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve, son John H. Stephens III and his brother William Stephens.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
