Jose G. Medina

Jose G. Medina, of Waukesha, died May 25, 2017 at his residence at the age of 72. He was born in San Antonio, TX on December 21, 1944, the son of Baleriano and Rosa (nee Gurrero) Medina. On August 12, 1963 he married Ida (nee Ramos) Medina in Michigan. He had worked for Quality Aluminum and then Amron, where he retired when the business closed in 1998. Jose loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed working in his garage, fixing his families cars and trucks. He was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Ida of Waukesha along with their children Linda (Robert) Jellis of Waukesha, Jose Medina, Jr. of Waukesha and Jimmy (Rosie) Medina of Waukesha. Dear grandfather of Eric (Ashley) Medina, Robert Jellis, Jr., McKenzie Jellis, Ashley Campbell, Julia Alvarez, Julio Alvarez, Jr., Jolean Medina, Jimmy Joe Medina and Jenna Medina all of Waukesha. Proud great-grandfather of Landon and Logan Medina. Loving brother of Connie Elizondo, Rosa Hernandez, Mary Escobedo, Stella Garcia, Richard Medina, John Medina, Danny Medina and Lupe Medina. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Christina Alvarez and brothers Baleriano “Walter” Medina and Louie Medina.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral Mass all at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.
