Joseph "Joe" M. Engebretson

Joseph "Joe" Engebretson of Waukesha passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the age of 73. He was born in Davenport, Iowa on December 23, 1948. He left this world with his last wish fulfilled by his family all being around him when he passed away. Joe adored his grandchildren, is deeply loved and will be missed more than this world can imagine.

He is survived by his loving wife Karen (Nelson), his daughter who he loved with his whole heart, Denise Medina, and his son Miguel (Sarah) Medina. He was the proud "Grandpa Joe" of Mikayla Medina-Stewart, Marcus Stewart, Justice Patton and Juniper Medina. Beloved brother of Cheryl (Lee) Nelson and their family Mike and Mary Jo Nelson. Dear brother-in-law of Lynette (Tom) Bain and their family, Angela Bain and son Bailey and Dustin Bain. Joe also left behind his friends, Barbie Bishop, Ray Glisch, Judy Morris, Marcy Walsh and Jackie Kern and many others; and his puppies Kayla, Tootsie Lou, Lulu, Ruby and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Rick.

Per Joe's request, no funeral services will be held. Rather, the family will plan a celebration of life to honor him at a later date.
