Joseph Peter Murphy, 60, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away on September 13, 2023, in Ft. Lauderdale.
Joe was born in Milwaukee on November 7, 1962 to Judith (Pellegrini) Murphy of Waukesha, WI; and Philip Murphy of Charleston, SC. He went to school at Western Albemarle High School. He graduated from Piedmont Virginia Community College. He worked as a Realtor for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in Ft. Lauderdale since 2005. He was President of the Board of Trustees for Runaway Bay Condo Association for 20 years. He received many sales awards over his 30 plus years as a realtor.
Joe is preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, uncles James and Peter, and aunt Joan.
Joe is survived by mother Judith Murphy, and father Philip (Babs) Murphy, as well as brothers Marc (Polly) Murphy, Michaeljon (Kristi) Murphy, Tim (Julie) Murphy and Patrick (Kate) Murphy. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, Aidan, Jared, Eric, Hristiyan, Jason (Lara), Rachel, Samuel, Grace, Charlie, Sophia and Lucian as well as many cousins, relatives, and dear friends and colleagues in Florida.
Joe had been named to the prestigious Honor Society for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. This award recognizes Joe as a sales professional in the top 16% of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services network agents nationwide.
Joe had a lifelong passion for music and sporting events. He loved going to concerts and watching any professional sport being played. He was a lifetime Green Bay Packer fan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Tuscan Hall Banquet Center, 409 Delafield Street, Waukesha from 12:00 (Noon) until 4:00 PM. Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday at St. Joseph Cemetery. Please meet at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave Waukesha at 10:15 AM to join the procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to one of Joe’s favorite charities: Women in Distress PO Box 50187 Lighthouse Point, FL 33074 for abused and homeless women.
