Joseph "Peep" A. Vetta

Joseph A. Vetta “Peepanooch” “Peep” a lifelong Waukesha resident died on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. He was born in Waukesha on October 30, 1931 the son of Pasquale “Patsy” and Mary (nee Mattiacci) Vetta. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. On October 29, 1960 he married Joan Wolff and together they celebrated 55 years of marriage together. Joe made the best Italian sausages in town and was the owner of Vetta’s Ho-Made Sausages. He loved bowling and bowled throughout Waukesha County. As an accomplished bowler, Joe was inducted into the Waukesha and National Bowling Hall of Fame. He was a huge Packer fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. He was a wonderful man who will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Joan Vetta of Waukesha and their children Teresa (Ray) Freund of Appleton, Michael (Kellie) Vetta of Waukesha and Julie (Joe) Schonasky of Sussex. He was the proud grandfather of Jenny Janecke of Denver, CO, Nicholas Vetta of Waukesha and Austin Vetta of Waukesha and great-grandfather of Nealia Jade of Denver. He is further survived by his brothers, Michael (the late Pamela) Vetta of Waukesha, Guido (the late Marion) Vetta of Waukesha and John (Judy) Vetta of Brookfield, his brother-in-law Ed (Brenda) Wolff of Waukesha, his Godson Tony Vetta along with other nephews, nieces, relatives and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A continued celebration of Peepanooch’s life will follow the service. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery.
