Joyce Eleanor (nee Sevalier) Schaller passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Baldwin, Iowa on June 21, 1935, to parents Loyle Eye and Elizabeth Sevalier.

Joyce was a proud 1957 graduate of Carroll College, where she majored in Sociology with minors in Psychology and Art. During her college years, she was an active member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and also enjoyed swimming and volleyball. After completing her education Joyce moved to Waukesha where she raised her family.

She is survived by her four children; Betty (John) Krekling, Patty (Ricky) Chones, Donna (Jeff) Crump and Fred (Karen) Schaller; grandchildren, Kevin (Denise), Christopher (Betsy), Katy (Josh), Olivia, Isabella, Liam, Jordan and Madison; great-grandchildren, Jack, Julian, Eleanor, Joni, Nora and Henry. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Grandmother and Grandfather Egan, Auntie El and Mark Egan all of whom she loved dearly.

Joyce lived a full and joyful life, traveling including cherished family trips to Walt Disney World, watching golf, playing tennis, attending various classes at the YMCA, and visiting her favorite slot machines. She adored the holiday season, especially Christmas celebrations, and always spoke fondly of her upbringing in Chicago.

A private burial will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carroll University or Southminster Presbyterian Church in Waukesha in Joyce’s memory.

Her warmth, love, and passion for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
