Judith “Judie” Ann Whipps, of Waukesha, died on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. She was born in Waukesha on April 12, 1938 the daughter of Alvin and Dora (nee Liestiko) Klemp. Judie was a 1956 graduate of Waukesha High School and continued her education at UW-Waukesha. In September 1953 she married George Whipps; he preceded her in death on December 10, 1993. She worked for Amron, RTE, GTE and was a waitress at the Holiday Inn, Merrill Hills and the Seven Seas. She was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and a member of WOW (Widows or Widowers).
She will be sadly missed by her children Larry Whipps of Wisconsin Dells, John Whipps of Waukesha and Georgia Harmon (nee Whipps) of Waukesha. She was the dear grandmother of Christopher Hanson of Waukesha, David Hanson of Waukesha, Amanda Hanson of Milwaukee and Elise Graser of Waukesha and great-grandmother of Madalynn Peters. She is further survived by her cousin Lucille Dauffenbach and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband George, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilfred “Bud”, Alvin, John and Richard.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Visitation continues on Friday, July 31st at the funeral home from 10:00 until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials in Judie’s name are appreciated to Shriner Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
