Judy Mae Pellmann (nee Hurtado) died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at home at the age of 71. She was born in Waukesha on December 5, 1945 the daughter of Felipi and Lorraine (nee Wenzel) Hurtado. She was a member of the Waukesha Eagles Club Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Scholastic Fund for Students of Hispanic Descent and of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Judy loved to cook and her exceptional meals will be greatly missed. She was always willing to help anyone in need and enjoyed helping with different events whether it be making decorations or preparing food. Most of all she found great joy in being with her family and caring for them.
She will be sadly missed by her best friend and companion Jose A. Monreal Sr. of Waukesha, her children, Kerry Hartenstein, James Hurtado and Jose Monreal Jr., her grandchildren, Corrine Hartenstein, Kerry Hartenstein, Sabrina Jo Monreal, Jonathon Monreal, Hailey Monreal, Abbey Monreal, Sadie Monreal and David Hurtado. She is further survived by her special aunt and uncle Victoria and Hector Herrera, her sisters Jane (Joe) Rictor, Eloise Villareal, Elaine (the late Dennis) Wildes, and Phyllis (the late Marcelo) Rivera, her brother Philip (Marcella) Cervantes-Hurtado, her dog Brandy, along with many aunts, uncles, half brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jesse, Angelo and Johnny Hurtado.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Graveside services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials in Judy’s name are appreciated to HAWS, 701 Northview Rd. Waukesha, WI 53188.
