Julian M. Guel of Waukesha died on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 58. He was born on July 21, 1957, one of 13 children born to Jose and Maria (nee Medina) Guel. Julian was born and raised in Texas and was "Texas Proud". On Sept. 4, 1982, he married Rosalinda "Rosie" Chavez. Julian was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed hunting.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosie, of Waukesha; his son, Larry Velasquez; and his brothers and sisters, Romanita (Matilda) Troncoso, Joe (the late Yolanda) Guel, Enedina (Jose) Garcia, Innocencio (Mary) Guel, Adolpho (Nancy) Guel, Elida (Tom) Gatley, David (Nettie) Guel, Peter (Marlene) Guel, Anna (Jesse) Flores, Corina Guel and Paul (Brenda) Guel, and special grandpa to Austin. He is further survived by 38 nieces and nephews, 66 great-nieces and nephews, 47 great-great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Lupe Guel, and nephew Martin Troncoso Sr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Services continue on Thursday, Aug. 13, with prayers at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by the procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha for the 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass. The Rev. Javier Bustos will preside. Graveside services will immediately follow the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery.
