Karen M Bauer

Karen Marie Bauer passed away at Linden Grove Waukesha on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born in Pine City, Minnesota on July 26, 1940, the daughter of Albert and Ruby (nee Nelson) Gardner. In 1958 she graduated from North Division High School.  She married her husband of 52 years, Ray Bauer, on June 16, 1962, at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 2014. Karen enjoyed her job at Waukesha State Bank where she worked as a teller.  She retired in 2005 after 26 years of service.  She was a faithful member at St. Luke Lutheran Church since 1972.  Karen loved to bowl at Fracaro’s.

She is survived by her beloved children, Carrie (Steve) Pflanzer of Oconomowoc, and Brian (Amanda) Bauer of Waukesha; grandchildren, Brandon (Ashley) Pflanzer of Iowa City, Iowa and Andrew “A.J.” (Lydia) Pflanzer of Denver, Colorado, brother Gene Gardner of Fox Point and sister Judith (Jerry) Kapp of Columbus, Wisconsin; other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Gardner and sisters-in-law Eileen Gardner and Judith Gardner.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral service at Randle Dable Brisk Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Avenue Waukesha, Wisconsin 53186. Graveside services will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
