Karen A. Blum

Karen F. Blum of Waukesha, died on Saturday March 8, 2025 at the Arbor of Avalon Square in Waukesha at the age of 92. She was born in Chicago on March 11, 1932 the daughter of Arletta and Angelo Fabri. Karen was a 1951 graduate of Channing High School. On June 2, 1956 She married Ronald F. Blum at Wauwatosa EUB Church. They were married for 56 years. Karen worked in various office positions In Milwaukee and Waukesha. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waukesha since 1973. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She will be sadly missed by her children Mark (Debbie) Blum of Wales and Sue (Nicholas) Glab of Watertown, her four granddaughters, Heather Blum of Waukesha, Erin Blum (Baraa Abbas) of Wales, Shannon Blum of Chicago and Emily Blum of Cedarburg and two great-grandchildren Grace and Franklin Abbas. 

She is further survived by her brother Michael Fabri of Norman, OK and her sister-in-law Carolyn Blum of Hartford along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Blum her parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 14, 2025 at First United Methodist Church of Waukesha, 121 Wisconsin Avenue, Waukesha, WI from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am. Rev. Susan Bresser will preside. Private family graveside services will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers memorials to First United Methodist Church of Waukesha are recommended.
