Karen Helmle

WAUKESHA?Karen E. Helmle, PhD, (nee: Danielson), 64, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2006. She was born in Milwaukee on September 21, 1942 to Edward and Petra Karine Danielson. She received her undergraduate and masters degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She had a lifelong commitment to education both as a teacher and administrator. She was the beloved wife of the late John G. Helmle, whom she married on August 24, 1963. He preceded her in death in 2003 after 39 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Christine (Doug) Koehler and Scott (Janet) Helmle. Proud grandma to Natalie, Sarah and Erin. Also loved by her dear sisters Dagny (the late Russ) Lithgow, Sigren (Donald) Farness, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 20th from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue.
