Karen Lacinda MacAfee (nee Ensley), of St. Marys, PA, passed away on April 27, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer, she was 43 years old. She was born in Waukesha, WI on March 23, 1972.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Sharon Ensley (nee Bartz) and her best friend Molly (her dog). She will be missed by her daughters Abigail (11 years old) and Madeline (8 years old). Her brother Edward (Brenda) Ensley and niece Kylie. Along with her Godmother Pat Bartell. Karen is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Karen graduated high school from Kettle Moraine in 1990. She then went on to attended UW-Lacrosse from 1990 – 1991. Karen attended Madison Area Technical College from 1996 -1999 where she received her Veterinary Assistant degree. She also received her Accounting degree at DuBois Business School of Accounting in the state of Pennsylvania.
Karen had a great love for animals. She shared her love of animals with her daughters by raising them with horses, dogs, cats, chickens and more on their farm. Karen spent many hours volunteering at the Humane Society and also held the position of Treasurer. Karen had a kind and gentle heart. She was a wonderful sister to Ed, and always put him before herself. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. There will be a private burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Pewaukee. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set-up for the children. Please make checks payable to Edward Ensley.
