Karen June Williams of Waukesha passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024 after a brave battle with ongoing health issues. She was born January 1, 1958 to Jeremiah and Elizabeth (nee: Guderyon) Williams.
Karen was born into a family of multi-generational lineage of Welsh farmers in the Delafield area for over 100 years. She raised generations of Southdown sheep herds for over 40 years. She participated in numerous state and local fairs, winning abundant awards for shows. She was a fond lover of cats, dogs, and all other farm animals that she helped raise, as well as any animals that crossed her path including her much loved cat, Problem Child. Her hobbies included snowmobiling, watching the Brewers and Packers games and reading. She loved roses and mums and shopping expeditions with her friends and family. She loved to bake for the holidays and throughout the year. Karen was adventurous and loved to take road trips to neighboring states, enjoying the scenery on the way. Karen was very traditional and always the first to mail out cards for every holiday. She was a prolific gift-giver never forgetting a birthday or special occasion to spoil her nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Waukesha.
Although Karen never had children, she would continuously speak highly about her nieces and nephews and how proud she was of them. She was also a tireless caregiver to her family members, especially her father and sisters, when they became seriously ill.
Karen is survived by her siblings; Lloyd (Cheryl) Williams, Joyce (Ed) Yamada and Betty Moore. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Jeremiah and Elizabeth Williams, she was preceded by her sisters Mary (Roland) Roberts, Susie Williams and brother-in-law Pat Moore.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13,2024 at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave Waukesha from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Ottawa Cemetery in Dousman. Memorial in Karen’s name are appreciated to First United Methodist Church, HAWS, or AngelsGrace Hospice.
