Kathleen T. “Kay” Thomas of Waukesha, died Monday, June 14, 2010 at her home at the age of 66. She was born on June 1, 1944 in Chicago, the daughter of Patrick Joseph and Mary Ann (Fogarty) Ansbro. Kay was employed for many years at Tool Service in Wauwatosa, along with working part time at Pick n’ Save on Sunset in Waukesha. She enjoyed vacationing with her family in Florida, and was an avid Packer fan. Kay will be deeply missed by her three sons: James Jr., Brian, and Stephen, all of Waukesha; her siblings: Pat Halvey of Waukesha, John (Cynthia) Ansbro of Indiana, James (Sangee) Ansbro of Illinois, and Eileen (Sam) Arcuri of Texas; mother-in-law, Lucille Thomas of Bartlett, IL; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Marc Thomas in 1988; her devoted companion, Kenneth Zimmerman in 2004; brother-in-law, Michael Halvey; and her parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 10:00 AM until the 12:00 noon funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Fr. Bill Key and Deacon William Thomas will concelebrate. Burial will be held privately at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
