Kathleen M. Koehler

WEST ALLIS-Kathleen M. "Kathy" Koehler, 69, of West Allis, died peacefully on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Zilber Family Hospice with her family by her side. She was born on May 24, 1938 in Waukesha to Arnold and Leah Marie (nee: Flanagan) Koehler. She was a 1956 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. For 45 years she had worked as an office manager and realtor for Kurtz Realty in Elm Grove. Kathy was a longtime member of Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in West Allis, where she was active in the Parish Council, sang in the choir and coordinated women's retreats to the Jesuit Retreat House in Oshkosh. She was also a member of the Pilgrim People singing group. Kathy will be remembered as a devoted, compassionate, caring and prayerful person. She is loved and will be missed by her brothers and sisters: Joanne (Mike) Riordan of Waukesha, Patricia (John) Bacon of Waukesha, John (Loie) Koehler of North Prairie; Daniel (Mary) Koehler of Saylesville and Margie (Mike) Wenzel of Milwaukee and she was the very proud aunt of 55 nieces and nephews. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including the Tom Kurtz family and her Mary Queen of Heaven Parish family. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Leah Marie Koehler and nephew Daniel Bacon. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8 from 9:00 AM until the Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM at Mary Queen of Heaven, 2322 S. 106th St. West Allis, WI 53227.
