Kathleen Bedell Comstock Pfister, of Waukesha, entered eternal peace on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 90. She was born on April 25, 1921 in Albany, New York, the daughter of Leon David and Esther Mae (nee Bedell) Comstock. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Jennifer Pfister of Waukesha, Merrilee P. Riley of Minneapolis, MN, her daughter-in-law, Linda Guhr Pfister of Muskego and her son, Harold F. Pfister, III, also of Waukesha, as well as by her seven grandchildren: Curran David Riley, Joanna Pfister Wachula, Kathleen Frances Riley, Andrew Carl Pfister, Brennan Joseph Riley, Erin Riley Gates, and Adam Jacob Pfister and their families. She is further survived by a blessedly growing number of perfectly angelic great-grandchildren, several relatives in law, nieces and nephews, and special, faithful friends, including her Heaven-sent caregivers Erica Hyland, Mercedes Rawson, Mildred Pittman and Caledonia McCarry. Kathleen was preceded in death by her esteemed brother, Dr. Leon David Comstock, Jr. of Dowagiac, MI in 1971, by her adoring husband of 53 years, Harold F. Pfister, Jr. in 1995, and by her heroic son, Carl Eugene Pfister II of Muskego in 2008. A service of remembrances, prayers and music for friends in the Waukesha area is being planned for a date to be announced, followed by a family committal ceremony at Memorial Park in Skokie, Illinois. If desired, memorial offerings in Kathleen’s memory to either AngelsGrace Hospice, W359 N7430 Brown Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066, or St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, S66 W14325 Janesville Road, Muskego, WI 53150-2607 would be thoughtful and appropriate.
