Katie A. Russo-Weidner, of Waukesha died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday July 9, 2016 at her home at the age of 71. She was born in Racine on January 21, 1945 the daughter of Stanley and Katherine (nee Jones) Roskowski. Katie owned the Bottle Stop on Grand Ave. for 24 years as well as the tanning salon Grand Glow for many years. She was also a longtime Waukesha hair stylist and owned In-Design by Kate on Williams Street. Katie enjoyed flowers and working in her yard, playing cribbage and was known for her sweet tooth. She loved dogs, especially her Bichon Jack who recently passed away. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her devoted husband Glenn Weidner, who were united in marriage on October 21, 2011, her loving son David (Kahrrin) Russo of Pewaukee and her beloved granddaughter Mia. She is further survived by her sister Patricia (Scott) Leischow of Arizona along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the 4:00 p.m. memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
