"Ken Hall, a bright and witty entrepreneur, environmentalist, community activist, public servant, writer, cyclist, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather - passed away peacefully on April 22, 2018. He was surrounded by his family and fought valiantly against aggressive brain cancer. Inspired by his love for prairies, Ken will be buried in a burial shroud decorated by his children and grandchildren - Chris (Abby) Hall grandchildren Henry and Amelia; Emily Hall (Andrew Hinkle); and Jennifer (Nicholas) Farrell - grandchildren Finnegan and Rory. He will be laid to rest beneath a prairie in Waukesha in a private internment.
Born to Ralph and Angie Hall on April 14, 1958, he was a beloved brother to Russ (Evansville, WI) and Anne Hall (Payson, Arizona).
During his short 60 years, his happiest hours were spent reading, reflecting, writing, enjoying his family and and the great outdoors.
On June 27, 1981, he married the love of his life, Debra at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waukesha. His passion for the Racine community and his interest in public policy united in 2004 when he was elected to the Racine County Board to serve Caledonia, North Bay and Wind Point in District 10. For eight years, he provided a strategic and visionary voice on issues like jail expansion, Lake Michigan water diversion, public health, library funding, job creation, public park development, environmental issues, and more.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20 at Siena Center 5635 Erie Street, Racine, WI from 1 -3 PM. A memorial service will take place at 3 PM with Reverend Marlene Walker officiating. Online tributes can be made through Randle Dable Brisk Funeral home at
