Kenneth S. "Ken" Meidenbauer

November 1, 1917 — October 9, 2012

Kenneth S. “Ken” Meidenbauer, a lifelong Waukesha County resident was born to Eternal life on Tuesday, October 09, 2012 at Seasons Hospice with his family by his side at the age of 94. He was born in Waukesha on November 1, 1917 the son of Sabel and Mary (nee McHalsky) Meidenbauer. He attended Little Grove Elementary School in New Berlin and the Vocational School in Waukesha. On January 17, 1948 he married the former Thelma Pluess at First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha. Ken worked for Aeroshade for 28 years and then for Automatic Welding for 17 years retiring in 1983. Following his retirement he established a business moving cars for local car dealerships and enjoyed the time he spent with his drivers. Along with his wife he loved to travel, especially by car. He was a longtime and faithful member of First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Waukesha Motorcycle Club.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Thelma of Waukesha and their daughter Lori (Louis) Boehmke of Waukesha and his two grandsons Brandon and Eric Boehmke also of Waukesha. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Bernice Heeren and Florence Berg.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Seasons Hospice, Waukesha Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Martin Kern for the care they provided to Ken.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 4:00 until the 7:00PM funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Reverend Nicole Farley will preside. Private family graveside services will be held at New Berlin Center Cemetery. If desired, memorials in Ken’s name are appreciated to First Presbyterian Church, 810 N. East Avenue Waukesha, WI 53186 or to the Hebron House of Hospitality, 111 E. Main Street Waukesha, WI 53186.
