Kevin J. Buckley

Kevin J. Buckley, of Vail, Arizona, formerly of Waukesha, died on October 7, 2013 at his home at the age of 59. He was born in Waukesha on July 19, 1954, the son of John and Mary (nee Mastrostefano) Buckley. He was a graduate of St. Francis De Sales Seminary High School. On October 28, 1977 he married Ann (nee Feiereisen) Buckley in Milwaukee. He received his degree in Theology from St. Francis De Salle Seminary College and his BSN from UW-Milwaukee. He had worked as a RN at St. Francis Hospital in the Medical Surgical Unit and then became the director of Assisted Living Facilities in Wisconsin and in Arizona. He was most recently working as a hospice nurse, where he was very passionate about his service to others. He touched many lives with his kindness, caring and compassion. Kevin was loved by many for his great sense of humor and infectious laugh.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Ann, of Vail, AZ, along with their children Christopher (Jennie) Buckley of Austin, TX, Shailagh (Brandon) Merrill of Vail, AZ and Ashley (fiancée Bill Freeburn) Buckley of Pittsburgh, PA. Loving son of John (the late Mary) Buckley of Waukesha. He is further survived by his grandchildren RaeAnna, Spencer, Wyatt Fox, Lailagh, Brandon Ryker and Reilly; sister Karen (Rod) Daering of Waukesha; twin brother David (Mary Ann) Buckley of Waukesha, younger brothers Mark Buckley of Land O’ Lakes, WI, John (Laura) Buckley, Jr. of Waukesha and Michael Buckley of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15 from 9:00 a.m. until the 12:00 Noon funeral mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Howard Haase will preside.
