Lawrence “Larry” A. Ahrendt of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin formerly of Waukesha died on Sunday, February 2, 2020 in Grand Marsh at the age of 81. He was born in Waukesha on March 3, 1938 the son of Norman and Elizabeth (nee: Rozek) Ahrendt. On October 12, 1962 he married the former Kristin “Kris” Larsen. He attended Catholic Memorial High School and then graduated from Waukesha High School. Larry worked for International Harvestor as a Molten Iron Driver and retired after 49 years. He was very involved with scouting and Wildlife fellowship and volunteered with both the Boy Scouts of America and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. He loved hunting and spending time outdoors. His number one priority was his family and he loved them all very much.
He will be sadly missed by his three children, Kathy (Bruce) Bancroft of Hartland, Matthew (Jevelyn) Ahrendt of Grand Marsh, WI and David (Shaunna) Ahrendt of Scottsdale, AZ, sisters Barbara Wallace of Dousman, Judy Wallace of Oconomowoc, and Anita (Fred) Radtke of Arcdale, WI. He is further survived by his beloved grandchildren Lance Bancroft, Matthew “Bill” Ahrendt, Elizabeth Ahrendt, Nick Ahrendt, and Chris Ahrendt, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Kristin in 2012, his brothers Ted and Tom, and his granddaughter Alisha
Visitation will be held on Friday March 6, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel (605 S. Prairie Ave. Waukesha WI 53186). Prayers and placement will follow in the cremation garden. Rev. Keith Perry will preside.
