Lawrence “Larry” E. Coshun found Eternal peace on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the age of 87. He was born in Waukesha on December 16, 1930 the son of Hollis and Melba (nee Downing) Coshun. On April 24, 1954, he married Judith “Judy” Hoberg; she preceded him in death on January 9, 2017. Larry retired from J.I. Case where he worked as a buyer for many years. He was a devout Catholic and charter member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Larry was an avid golfer and bowler, enjoyed taking road trips across the country, and was a fan of all
Wisconsin Sports. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted husband and caretaker to his beloved wife Judy and especially loved being with his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his children, David Coshun of Waukesha, Mary Jo (Dean) Grant of New Berlin, Craig (Pam) Coshun of Verona and Leslie Coshun of Waukesha. He was the proud grandfather of Amanda and Elizabeth Coshun, Danielle, Austin and Katie Wilson, John and Jacob Coshun and Alexander and William Grant. He is further survived by his brother Kenneth (Beverly) Coshun of Sussex along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, Judy, he was preceded in death by his brother Dr. Donald (Jean) Coshun and his parents.
The family wishes to extend a special “thank you” to Legacy Assisted Living, AseraCare Hospice and Care Wisconsin for the kindness, care and support they provided to Larry and their family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the 2:30 p.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Father Howard Haase will preside. Private entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Larry’s name are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern WI Chapter, 620 S. 76th Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
