Lawrence "Larry" Laporte

Lawrence R. “Larry” LaPorte, of the town of Mukwonago, died on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his home at the age of 66. He was born in Milwaukee on February 14, 1944 the son of Harry and Lucia (nee Sturm) LaPorte. On May 3, 1969 he married his wife Jane Dettman in Des Plaines, Illinois. Larry owned and operated LaPorte Insurance Agency in North Prairie for over 30 years. He was a member of the Wales-Genesee Lions Club and of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Larry was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed spending time at the casino.  He will be sadly missed by his wife Jane, his son Curtis A. (Lisa Nevinski) LaPorte of Pewaukee and his daughter Jennifer (Eddie) Bauer of Milwaukee, grandchildren: Noah, Lydia and Collin LaPorte of Pewaukee and Kyle and Gabby Bauer of Minnesota. He is further survived by his sister Judith (George McCormick) Grantham of Liverpool, NY, his two dogs Izzy and Dexter, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John LaPorte.  The family extends a special thank you to Larry’s niece Erica Johnson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 4:00 until the 7:00PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S.
