Lawrence D. Willms

Lawrence D. Willms, of Union Grove, died on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the WI Veterans Home in Union Grove at the age of 74. He was born on September 17, 1946, in Milwaukee, the son of Lawrence A. and Lorraine (nee Drake) Willms. He was a 1966 graduate of Menomonee Falls High School. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and had worked for Milwaukee Electric Tool for 30 years. He was a current member of VFW Post #9537 and Pewaukee American Legion Post #71 where he served on the Honor Guard. He was also the Past Commander of the Menomonee Falls American Legion Post #382 and was a member of the AmVets. He belonged to the Daniel Boone Conservation League and was a hunter safety instructor for the DNR for 45 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. American Legion service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha. Military honors will follow the service. Burial will take place at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove on Wednesday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. Memorials are appreciated to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 71 Poppy Fund, 118 Main St., Pewaukee, WI 53072.
Due to the pandemic, masks or face coverings are required and social distancing will be followed.
