Leah Mae Bertram (nee: Jones) age 97 died at The Golden Living Center in Watertown on Thursday February 6, 2014. She was born on December 8, 1916 in Dalton, WI; the daughter of Milton and Myra (nee Jenkins) Jones. On March 2, 1945 she married Howard Bertram at the Berlin Gospel Tabernacle. He preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Bertram was a teacher at Duplainville School, New Berlin Eisenhower, and New Berlin West.
She will be sadly missed by her sons Jon of Waukesha and Scott (Caroline) of Watertown. She was the proud grandmother of Jennifer (Mike) Hintz of Appleton, Amy (Dan) Prebil of Waukesha, Rebecca Bertram of New Berlin and great grandgrandmother of Tyler, Jacob, Tommy, Abbey, and Sam. She is further survived by her sister Jean (The late George) Walker of Sturgeon Bay, sister-in-law Loretta Jones of Sturgeon Bay, and brother-in-law Willard Bertram of Muskego Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to her husband Howard, she was preceded in death by her son, James, her brothers and their wives: Derwin “Red” (Phyllis) Jones, Art Jones, and Howard (Georgia) Jones.
Visitation will be Tuesday February 11, 2014 at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha from 4:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 6:30 PM. Chaplain Shannon Finger will preside. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Prairie Home Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Please meet at the cemetery chapel.
