Leander H. Brahm, died of Alzheimers Disease on Friday, June 28, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 79. He was born on May 8, 1934 to John and Sedonia (nee: Gengler) Brahm. He worked at Sinclair Gas Station, owned Profection Heating and Cooling. He also owned his own Mack truck, which he drove over the road. For 43 years he was employed at Continental Can and then worked for Gielows Garden Center for 15 years. He played baseball in his youth, he loved working on cars and engines. His hobbies included bowling, golfing, gardening and fishing in Canada. He liked to play cribbage and sheepshead and enjoyed watching Packer and Brewer games. He will be remembered as a person who was very generous with his time and his family was most important to him. Leander was a faithful volunteer for the Food Pantry of Waukesha County. As a lifelong dog owner, Leander loved and will be missed by Shamus, Blackie, Little Bear, Magnum, Corkey, Rover (AKA: Dopey) and Arne.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Diane (nee: Bittner) Brahm of Pewaukee and their four children: Kathy (Larry) Leanna of Oconto; Daniel Brahm of Milwaukee; John Brahm of Florida; and Samantha Cintron of Waukesha. He is the proud grandfather of Joshua Kass, Richard Pokrzewinski, Holly Petts, Jonathan Brahm, Amanda Brahm, Nikki Brahm and the late Nickolas Kass. Great grandfather of Tia and Dakota Petts and great great grandfather of Kael and Keanua Petts. He is further survived by a brother, Merlin Brahm of Franksville; a sister Sally Kaufert of Waldo and sister-in-law, Rose Brahm of Bay View.
In addition to his parents and grandson, Leander is preceded in death by his brother and sister Sylvester and Darlene Brahm, his son-in-law Benjamin Cintron, and his grandson Nickolas Kass.
