Leona Arn, of Waukesha, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. She was born on August 21, 1925 in Mt. Horeb, WI, the daughter of Otto H. and Mayme (nee Thistle) Heuser. On September 2, 1944 she married Clarence Arn in Milwaukee. She has been a 50-year member of First Assembly of God in Waukesha and a member of the Red Hat Club. She had worked at Briggs & Stratton, Gimbels and prepared hot lunch for the Christian Life Center School. She was co-owner of the Pewaukee Mobile Home Park and enjoyed sewing, making draperies, gardening, baking, spending time with her family, and watching sports especially the Milwaukee Brewers. She will be sadly missed by her sons Dennis (Jen) Arn of Hartland, Robert (Mary) Arn of Waukesha and David Arn of Waukesha. Dear grandmother of Sara (Nate) Wehmeier of East Troy, Kyle Arn of Waukesha, Andrew (Amy) Arn of Hartford, Adam (Kat) Arn of Port Washington, Jeremy Arn of Bay View, Aimee (Russell) Heder of Waukesha and Katie (David) Ewing of Costa Mesa, CA and great-grandmother of Ella, Eli, Liam, Mercy, Hazel and Cullen. She is further survived by her brother and sisters Dolores Achtor of Oregon, WI, JoAnn Oldenburg of Brookfield, Rebecca Kloth of Greenfield and Otis (Shirley) Heuser of Milwaukee, brother-in-law Emil Heins of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence in 1997, brother Darwin Heuser, sister Rachel Heins, as well as her parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7 from 2:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. funeral service at First Assembly of God, 1314 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha. Graveside services will take place on Thursday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery, please meet at the cemetery office.
