Leonila “Pepita” Lazcano, age 68 died on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born in Mexico on February 4, 1951 the daughter of Galdino and Dolores (nee: Astorga) Acosta. Pepita came to the United States in 1971 first residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico before coming to Waukesha in 1974. She worked at Lamplight Farms, retiring in May 2005. She will be remembered as a devoted follower of Jesus, always wanting people to know that Jesus loves them. She was a giving, loving mother to her children, grandchildren and a welcoming mother to all in the community. On May 2, 1970 she married Epifanio Lazcano, he survives her.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 49 years, Epifanio Lazcano, her children: Maria Dolores (Felipe) Martinez, Francisco (Cheryl) Lazcano, Juan Luis (Valerie) Lazcano, Ruben (Amanda) Lazcano, Silvia Lazcano, Richard (Megan) Lazcano, Maribell Martinez and Shaila Martinez. She was the proud grandmother of Gabriella and Lorenzo Lazcano; Edmundo, Juan, Evelyn and Olivia Lazcano; Aliana and Victoria Lazcano; Diego Moore; Gideon, Killian and Lucia Lazcano. She is further survived by her siblings, Aurelia Acosta, Roberto (Josephina) Acosta and Guadalupe Shanklin Acosta.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Fidel and Julio Acosta.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave Waukesha. Pastor Florentino Villa officiating. Burial will be held on Thursday, May 9th at Prairie Home Cemetery, please meet at the cemetery at 12:30 PM.
